Repositioning Dashboard

Backoffice path: backoffice/occ/repositioning

Available to roles: System Administrator, Administrator

Overview

The Repositioning Dashboard provides a centralized operational view of all active repositioning bounties and out-of-position aircraft. It is part of the Operations Control Center (OCC) and gives staff real-time visibility into the fleet's repositioning status.

For detailed information on how repositioning bounties are created and configured, see Repositioning.

Dashboard Settings

The dashboard includes an inline settings panel with the following controls:

SettingDescription
Auto-RepositioningMaster toggle (On/Off) for automatic bounty creation. When Off, the idle scanner does not create new bounties.
Skip Hubs & BasesWhen On, aircraft at company hub or base airports are excluded from idle scanning.
Idle Hours ThresholdHours before an aircraft is considered idle.
Max HopsMaximum legs for route finding.

A Scan Now button is available to manually trigger the idle aircraft scan.

Dashboard Contents

Aircraft Awaiting Return to Base

This section lists all aircraft that are currently located away from their assigned base airport. Each entry shows:

  • The aircraft registration and type.
  • The current airport location.
  • The assigned base airport.
  • How long the aircraft has been idle at its current location.
  • Whether a bounty has been created for this aircraft.

This view helps staff identify aircraft that may need manual intervention if no bounty has been generated (e.g., because no route was found within the hop limit).

Active Bounties

This section displays all repositioning bounties that are currently open, including:

  • The aircraft associated with the bounty.
  • The origin and destination airports.
  • The calculated route (hops).
  • The Points reward offered.
  • The current status: unclaimed (waiting for a pilot) or claimed (a pilot has accepted).
  • Time remaining before expiration.

Claimed Bounties

For bounties that have been claimed by a pilot, this section shows additional detail:

  • The pilot who claimed the bounty.
  • The claim timestamp.
  • Current flight progress (if the pilot is actively flying).
  • Estimated completion time.

Bounty Lifecycle Monitoring

The dashboard allows staff to monitor the full bounty lifecycle from creation through resolution:

  1. Creation -- a bounty appears when the system detects an idle aircraft away from base.
  2. Publication -- the bounty is made available to pilots with its Points reward.
  3. Claim -- a pilot accepts the bounty; the dashboard updates to show the assigned pilot.
  4. Completion -- the pilot delivers the aircraft to the target airport; the bounty is marked complete.
  5. Expiration -- if not completed in time, the bounty expires and the aircraft is teleported to base.

Linking to Aircraft Repositioning Management

The dashboard provides direct links to the full Aircraft Repositioning management page, where administrators can take additional actions such as reviewing unroutable aircraft notifications, adjusting base assignments, or creating ferry flights for aircraft that cannot be repositioned through the bounty system.
